Terms and ticket conditions
Last updated 10 August 2026. These terms apply to everyone who uses Pulse, operated by Thirteen Degrees, whether you are an attendee, a guest on a complimentary list, or an event organiser.
1. The role of Pulse
Pulse is the registration, ticketing and check-in platform. The event organiser is the supplier of the event itself and is responsible for the programme, venue, line-up, safety and any refunds. Thirteen Degrees acts as ticketing agent for the organiser unless we are also named as the organiser.
2. Your ticket
- Each ticket carries a unique number and QR code and is valid for the number of entries shown on it (one entry by default).
- A ticket is personal to the named holder. Duplicated, screenshotted or forwarded tickets are void once the code has been scanned its permitted number of times.
- Complimentary and guest-list tickets are issued at the organiser's discretion and may be withdrawn before the event.
- Access types (General, VIP, VVIP, Staff, Crew, Artist) determine which areas you may enter.
- Late arrivals after the published final check-in time may be refused entry, or admitted only with organiser approval.
3. Prices and payment
Ticket prices are shown in South African Rand and include VAT where applicable. Booking and service fees, where charged, are shown before you confirm. Tickets remain the property of the organiser until payment clears.
4. Refunds, cancellations and changes
If an event is cancelled, the face value of your ticket is refunded by the organiser. Where an event is postponed or materially changed, your ticket is valid for the new date unless the organiser offers a refund. Service and booking fees are generally non-refundable except where the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 requires otherwise.
Section 47 of the Consumer Protection Act allows you to cancel an advance booking, subject to a reasonable cancellation charge set by the organiser. Change-of-mind refunds outside that right are at the organiser's discretion.
5. Conditions of entry
Entry is subject to the venue's rules, security searches, age restrictions and any applicable licensing or public-safety requirements. The organiser may refuse entry to, or remove, anyone who is intoxicated, behaves unsafely, harasses others, or breaches the venue rules, without refund.
Events may be photographed or filmed. By attending you accept that you may appear in crowd images used for event and marketing purposes.
6. Accounts and organiser access
Keep your login details secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. Organiser, manager and validator roles are granted per event and may be revoked at any time. Attendee data accessed through an organiser account may only be used for that event and must be handled in line with POPIA.
7. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including under the Consumer Protection Act. Otherwise, and to the extent permitted by law, Thirteen Degrees is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and attendance at any event is at your own risk.
8. Communications
We send you service messages about your ticket and the event you registered for. These are not marketing and cannot be opted out of while you hold a valid ticket. Marketing messages are sent only with your consent and every one carries an unsubscribe option, in line with section 45 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act and section 69 of POPIA.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the courts of South Africa have jurisdiction. Queries: tickets@pulse.13-degrees.com.
